Alanis Acosta is a Legal Assistant here at Carolina Family Estate Planning, where she supports our team with a balance of attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset. With experience across different areas of law, including workers’ compensation, personal injury, and estate administration, she blends her legal background with a degree in Industrial Distribution and Logistics from East Carolina University. This unique mix allows her to bring both legal insight and strong organizational skills to her work.

Alanis grew up in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, before moving to North Carolina at a young age. She credits her grandparents with shaping her outlook on life through their constant encouragement. Their influence instilled in her the importance of helping others, a principle that continues to guide her both personally and professionally. As a kid, she wanted to be an astronaut until she realized paychecks don’t get delivered to the moon. Today, she applies that same curiosity and ambition to making sure our team has what it needs to serve families effectively, here on earth.

Beyond her work, music has always been an important part of Alanis’s life. She grew up playing guitar in her church band and later expanded her talents to other instruments. She’s also a member of a 9-ball billiards league and rarely misses a UNC basketball game, especially during March Madness, her favorite time of the year.

With her adaptability, attentiveness, and upbeat energy, Alanis is proud to contribute to CFEP’s mission of helping families feel prepared and supported through life’s challenges.
