Following the tradition of strong and empowering women working at Carolina Family Estate Planning, we are proud to have Charon on our team. This woman has been both mother and father to her son Damon for ten years by now.

Charon works as an executive assistant for our Firm Administrator. Her prior positions included being a fleet controller, which taught her to deal with people and issues in a fast-paced environment. Her attention to detail and problem-solving skills leave no doubt about why she is excellent for this job.

Like many of our clients, her experience with estate planning was due to the loss of her husband. She lost him at the age of 35 to a motorcycle accident, and she was the executor of his estate. She described this as the most challenging part of her life because she didn't only have to take care of her 11-year-old son, she had to deal with the loss of her love and best friend, the one that had a unique outlook on life, so positive and good that always made her feel to be a better person.

Those were some terrible months in her lifetime, but she effectively overcame this with the help of her son Damon. You can imagine by now how special is her relationship with her son. She didn't miss a Rugby match from the age of 11 to 18. They still possess that bond that keeps them together beyond any adversity. With her mother, her extra source of inspiration, they live happily together accompanied by a Tortoise Shell Cat named Chazay.

Charmie, as her personal friends call her, besides being a Rugby enthusiast (for obvious reasons), is a nail artist. She even owned her own salon for a while, but now she just chills out by doing her mom's and friend's nails or taking very long walks in nature. And perhaps in a few years, following her dream of being a flight attendant, she'll be traveling around Italy, Ireland, or Mozambique. So ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seat belts. This flight is about to lift off!
