Jonny Mocha is the Marketing Director at Carolina Family Estate Planning, where he helps lead how we connect with families, share helpful information, and explain the importance of planning ahead. His role focuses on strategy, storytelling, and delivering clear, honest, and genuinely helpful content across every touchpoint—from websites and emails to educational resources and social media.

Born in Michigan and raised in Tennessee, Jonny has spent the last decade putting down roots in Raleigh, NC. He has spent his career helping businesses and nonprofits across the country grow, evolve, and make an impact. With a background that spans nearly every role in the marketing world, Jonny is known for bringing energy, empathy, and creativity to everything he touches.

He likes to say he was “too high-maintenance to be a starving artist,” so marketing became the next best thing. But the truth is, he loves this work because it never stands still. There’s always something new to learn, a new challenge to solve—and he gets to use that momentum to help people through meaningful, purpose-driven work.

Jonny’s connection to estate planning is deeply personal. After his father in-law passed away, their family spent months navigating probate, despite years of careful planning. That experience opened his eyes to how critical proper guidance is—and it continues to fuel his commitment to making sure others don’t face the same unexpected hurdles.

Outside the office, Jonny’s a creator at heart. He sings, writes, draws, and gives back through volunteer work with causes close to his heart, including LGBTQ+ rights, women’s advocacy, and animal welfare. He’s also fluent in Romanian and lives in Raleigh with his partner and four kids and what can only be described as a full-on animal sanctuary: seven cats, three dogs, and two bearded dragons.

Friends describe him as dedicated, steady, and optimistic—and if he could have one superpower, it would be teleportation (because honestly, who enjoys commuting?).
