Kristen Strahl is a goal-oriented leader with a passion for strategy and making a difference in the lives of others. As Chief Operating Officer for Carolina Family Estate Planning, Kristen is responsible for optimizing firm performance across all areas of the business, including marketing, sales, legal production, human resources, and financial operations. Kristen’s experience leading strategy for organizations like EY, ALSAC/ St. Jude and AICPA made her a great candidate for this role, but her character, selflessness, and commitment to causes separated her from the rest.

Kristen believes that the key to professional success is to be customer-focused, adaptable and always willing to learn and improve upon the status quo. She is committed to delivering an exceptional experience for CFEP clients while maintaining a team culture founded on integrity, accountability, innovation and teamwork. In my role at CFEP, my goal is to establish and communicate clear objectives that are aligned across the organization so that each employee understands how they contribute to the overall success of the firm. Kristen is also deeply connected to supporting clients through the Alzheimer’s Planning Center, as her family has firsthand experience working to overcome the struggles associated with the disease.

Outside of work, Kristen enjoys spending time with friends and family, home decorating, and watching movies. In addition, music has always been an integral part of Kristen’s life - she started singing in church choirs when she was 5, continued in choral and madrigal groups throughout high school and college, and has performed with various semi-professional choral groups during her adult life, including the Oratorio Society of New York, the Cathedral Choral Society in Washington, D.C., and the North Carolina Master Chorale. Kristen’s greatest love is her two children, Ethan (19) and Lauren (17), who inspire her each day and keep her focused on what is most important in life.

Kristen received her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Richmond (go Spiders!), and her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
